Celiac and gluten free for more than 20 years now I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease as an infant. But back then they thought it was something you could outgrow. So gluten was reintroduced back into my diet when I was 5. I did not have what was considered normal symptoms at the time, so they thought it was fine and I could have gluten again. Nowadays the symptoms I had after gluten was reintroduced are considered "normal or standard" symptoms. Flash forward to when I was 23, I got very ill and it took about 2 years to stumble across an article about Celiac Disease. Which eventually led to my rediagnosis with Celiac. The first few years were bumpy because I kept ingesting a lot of hidden gluten. But I have been on the diet 2- years now. I rarely have accidental ingestions and the diet has become 2nd nature to me. But I am always happy to help or support anyone struggling with a new diagnosis. Or swap recipes, tips for dining out, traveling, etc
